Valentine's Cake - Time to Cast your Vote!

I have to admit this month's cake designs was hard to narrow down, there are dozens of heart cakes I wanted to try! The three in the photo are what I finally decided on. The cake will be a Red Velvet Cake, with Cream Cheese Frosting as Filling. There is a short description for each cake next to the drawing, and below that, there are a few examples of the techniques that are possibilities for the cake.

I tried to draw the best I could, but I will admit, drawing a rose isn't my best skill. There are three cakes designs to choose from and I put a short description by each cake. Lace and Roses will have a center bunch of roses, either in buttercream or fondant. The cornelli lace will be done in white buttercream. The Diamonds and Roses will have buttercream or fondant roses, with a diamond impression on the side (it won't be pink). The last cake, the Ribbon roses, the tiny roses will all be done in fondant. All roses will be red, and the cakes will all be iced in white. I wanted to get the picture up as soon as I could, so it's not the best at the moment. I will edit later, but I wanted to be able to have you start voting as soon as possible. You can click on the photo and get a slightly bigger view.

Example of Ribbon Roses. The top of the Ribbon Roses will have a roses in a heart similar to this with tiny roses on the side:

Voting begins today and will be until next Friday. I am not sure if I will have the cake ready for Valentines, but I will do my best!

Next month's cake contest will be something different that I what I originally decided, so say tuned, I haven't decided exactly what it will be! (edited to say I haven't decided...)
